03 / How Cal works

Clear enough to explain to the rest of the room

  1. 01

    Tell me the story.

You do not need to diagnose the technology first.
  2. 02

    We find the real problem.

We’ll have a short call and make sure we’re solving the right thing.
  3. 03

You get a clear scope and price.

You’ll know what I’m doing, what it costs, and what isn’t included.
  4. 04

    We make useful progress.

A repair, recommendation, working system, or ongoing partnership.
A few things I believe

Useful beats fashionable.

  • Not every problem needs custom software.
  • Not every product needs AI.
  • A rebuild is not automatically better than a repair.
  • You deserve to understand what you are paying for.
  • The best technology work helps somebody else succeed.
About Cal

I speak software and business. More importantly, I help them speak to each other.

I started working in technology in 2014, beginning with graphic design and front-end work before moving into full-stack development. Since then I have been a senior developer, led development teams, delivered products and features, and become the chief developer at a startup.

Tell me what’s going on.

You do not need to choose the perfect service. A few sentences about what is happening and what you are trying to accomplish are plenty.
